Collection of Information

• If you have asked for a full receipt for a donation via receipt@cycloneappeal.govt.nz, we will collect your last name, the date of your donation, the amount you donated and your email address.
• When you email us, we will collect your email address and any contact information provided. We will also collect the contents of your email.
• We do not keep credit card information for any donations completed through the website. All credit/debit card payments are managed by a third-party platform (WindCave) and are subject to its privacy policy (found here).

Store and Security of Personal Information

We protect our data with all reasonable technical and process controls.

Retention

We only retain personal information necessary to fulfil the purpose of collection, including for the purpose of satisfying any tax, accounting or regulatory requirements. If you ask for a full receipt, we will keep a copy of the receipt for seven years for tax purposes.

We will only use and share personal information where necessary to carry out the functions for which we collected it or if required by law.
